15 percent of applicants to Bacone College were admitted for fall 2018

At Bacone College, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Muskogee enrolled 271 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 7.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

60 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oklahoma, and 38 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native (34 percent) and Black or African American (23 percent).

The school admitted 15 percent of the 761 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
