McAlester woman sentenced to over 17 years for child exploitation

Amanda Lynn Howerton, a 41-year-old resident of McAlester, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 210 months in prison for sexual exploitation of a child. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police.

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Brett Dewayne Cole, age 34, of McCurtain County, Oklahoma, was sentenced to life in prison for each of two counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse in Indian Country and for one count of Abusive Sexual Contact in Indian Country. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Pittsburg County resident sentenced for federal drug and gun crimes

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Richard Allen Rollings, age 57, of McAlester, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 210 months each for two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and 180 months for one count of Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, to be served concurrently. Rollings was also sentenced to an additional 60 months for one count of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, which will be served consecutive to his other sentences.

Minnesota man sentenced to six years for fentanyl trafficking

Timothy M. O'Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Yoshi R. Walker, 26, from New Brighton, Minnesota, was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to six years in federal prison for attempting to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. The sentence includes three years of supervised release following imprisonment. Walker pleaded guilty to the charge on April 12, 2024.
