#2 Men's Basketball were up for another KCAC challenge when going head to head with the #13 Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes on February 1st. With both teams being tied at the top of the KCAC standings, one or the other was looking to take control and take their name on the leaderboard.
Defeating the Coyotes 60-55, the Eagles rose above and improved to 16-2 in the KCAC.

Heading into the second half trailing to the Coyotes, the Eagles had making up to do with the remaining 20 minutes. The entirety of the 40 minutes was a back and forth fight between both teams, with the Eagles taking control of the game with 8 minutes left with an 11-point lead.
Two Eagles had amazing performances on both sides of the ball, Jaden Lietzke & Kaleb Stokes. Lietzke ended the night with 23 points scored, 13 rebounds, was 11-11 from the paint, and 1-2 from the free throw line while Stokes scored 12 points and accumulated 17 rebounds; earning themselves double doubles.
The Coyotes outshot the Eagles beyond the arc going 32% to 10.5%, while the Eagles handles themselves well in the paint shooting 40.6% over the Coyotes 30.9%.
